Sunfest Country and Laketown Shakedown Cancelled Again This Year

It's the safest thing to do, but it's also a total bummer

Big outdoor music festivals are off for the second summer in a row because of COVID

The organizers of Sunfest Country and Laketown Shakedown have cancelled the festivals again this summer.

Both festivals usually have huge bands and even bigger crowds. COVID restrictions are still in place and it just isn’t safe to have that many people in one place right now.

In a statement on their Sunfest website, organizers say they are “devastated to not be welcoming back all of your smiling faces this summer, but that just means we will all come back bigger and better in 2022.”

The organizers are offering refunds to anyone who bought tickets, even if those tickets are roll-overs from last year’s festivals. They also say that anyone who has tickets for this year can use them for next year or 2023 if they want.

If you have questions about your tickets, you can email info@laketownevents.com.
