Here’s a grim statistic: nearly the same number of Canadians have died from COVID as soldiers in WWII.
And the disease is still looking for new recruits.
Facts: Confirmed covid deaths (44,369) will soon surpass Canada's ~45,000 WWII deaths. Covid deaths are also likely to surpass the tally of the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic (~50,000). 2022 confirmed deaths (14,049) are already nearing the total for all of 2021 (14,584). #covid19 pic.twitter.com/D2zFMyF1mr

The World Health Organization says we’re still in a pandemic. And COVID is still mutating, so we could get another wild wave.
Every year, we have a moment of silence for the soldiers who fought for our freedom.
Will you be the next person we hold a moment of silence for, but because you died of COVID?
