Island Filmed Epic Up For 7 Emmy’s

An inside look at the Island's wildlife as you've never seen it before

“Island of the Sea Wolves” ties with the Drew Barrymore Show for most Emmy nominations

If you’re looking for a documentary to binge during this rainy week, we have exactly what you’re looking for.

Island of the Sea Wolves is a gripping story that will reopen your eyes to just how amazing the Island is – no matter the weather.

Shot all across the Island, it’s a planet earth style docuseries that focuses on three Island characters.

Cedar the wolf, Spiro the eagle and Sky the otter.

Directed by Jeff and Chelsea Turner, the film transports you on a wild journey following these animals as they brave the challenges of the territory and forage for food in our cold Pacific waters.

Narrated by Canadian actor and fan-favourite Will Arnett (Arrested Development, BoJack Horseman), the series is a treat to take in any day.

We can rave about it, but we’re far from the only ones. The Netflix series is up for seven Daytime Emmy Nominations.

It’s the 50th year of Daytime Emmy nominations, and the choices were announced on April 26th by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Island of the Sea Wolves is up for awards in Travel, Adventure and Nature Program, Writing Team for a Daytime Non-Fiction Program, Directing Team for a Single Camera Daytime Non-Fiction Program, Outstanding Music Direction and Composition, Cinematography, Single Camera Editing, and Sound Mixing and Sound Editing.

It’s tied with the Drew Barrymore Show as the sixth-most nominated TV program.

Getting the same hype as that beloved human says a whole lot in itself.

Island of the Sea Wolves is currently streaming on Netflix, and you can catch the Daytime Emmy Awards on June 16, airing on CBS and Paramount+.
