Scaling Up Hope, Work, and Community

We'll need a new way of living, and this project supports folks who are making that happen

Who do you know that’s walking on the edge?

Do you know someone who’s working to help grow your community?

An entrepreneur, community catalyst, wisdom-keeper, visionary—someone who’s looking over the horizon and making a goal of how to get us there together.

The Edge Prize is an invitation to tell the story of you, of your community, and what’s working.

An initiative by Salmon Nation Trust & Terran Collective, the Edge Prize is funding community actions across Salmon Nation that are transitioning the way we live.

They’re looking for “Edgewalkers” to support.

It is not a “pitch” competition. Or a contest at all, really.

It’s about sharing what you’re already doing, why it’s working, and why it gives you hope.

They welcome all kinds of indicators of the impact you are having—whether those are hard numbers or soft stories.

The goal is to bring innovators together, and seed new patterns across essential services: energy, health, food, water, education, manufacturing, and beyond.

“The most significant challenge of our time is to move from humanity being a net destructive force on the planet to becoming stewards of life’s balance. It will take all of us. If we don’t succeed, we won’t have a habitable planet,” says their website.

Beyond applications to win funding, they’re inviting people to attend their info sessions. Come meet collaborators, mentors, and funders, and become part of a community building a positive future across the Salmon Nation.

The sessions are taking place on December 1st at 5 p.m., or December 6th at 12:30 pm and again at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

Apply here to share your story, and you’ll be eligible to receive anywhere from $500 to $20,000 to move your project forward.

Salmon Nation Trust has given each prize pool initial funding.

If you’re not running a project, but would like to support one, you can also make a tax-deductible donation to increase the size of any prize pool.

Check them out, and keep walking on the edge.
